Effective August 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what Caller Technologies ("we," "us," "our") collects when you use the websites and email services at ShitsAboutToGoDown.com and ShitIsAboutToGoDown.com (the "Service"), what we do with it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what it takes to run an email service, we don't sell it, we don't run ad trackers, and your mailbox is yours.
Account and order information. When you buy an address we collect the contact email you give at checkout, the address (local-part) you chose, and your plan. Payments are processed by Stripe — your card number goes to Stripe, never to us. We store the identifiers Stripe gives us (customer, subscription, and checkout-session IDs) and the amount you paid.
Your mail. If your plan includes a mailbox (The Pile, The Full Load), the mail in it is stored on our mail infrastructure until you delete it or your service ends (see Retention). If your plan forwards mail (The Trickle), messages pass through to the inbox you designated and are not kept beyond ordinary transit logs.
Login details. We generate your starting mailbox password for you. It is delivered in your welcome email and shown briefly on the post-checkout page (which forgets it after about 48 hours). A copy of that welcome email, password included, remains in our transactional-mail records — one more reason to change your password once you're set up, like the email tells you to.
Technical logs. Our infrastructure providers keep ordinary server and mail logs (IP addresses, timestamps, message routing metadata) for security and troubleshooting. The public site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers; one session cookie exists for our own staff admin area.
To provide the Service: creating and running your address, sending transactional email about it (your receipt, your setup details, renewal and payment notices, cancellation notices), answering you when you write in, preventing spam, fraud, and abuse (including per-mailbox sending limits), and meeting legal and accounting obligations. We do not send marketing lists, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
We do not read the contents of your mailbox. Like every mail host, we have technical access to the systems your mail lives on, and we use it only: (a) with your permission, to help you with a support issue; (b) through automated systems that filter spam and enforce abuse limits; or (c) when the law genuinely requires it. That's the list.
We use a small set of processors, each only for its job: Stripe (payments and billing), Resend (sending our transactional email to you), MXroute (the mail infrastructure your mailbox and forwarding run on), and Cloudflare (the website, DNS, and application data storage). Each receives only what it needs to do that job. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business (in which case this policy follows the data).
Mailbox contents: kept while your subscription is active. When a subscription ends, sending stops immediately, and your mail stays readable for a 30-day grace period so you can export it; after that the mailbox is deleted and the name may return to the market. Forwarding stops when a forwarding subscription ends and nothing of yours is stored. Order and billing records are kept as long as tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention rules require.
Mail moves over encrypted connections (SSL/TLS on all mail ports and on the website), passwords are generated strong, and access to production systems is limited to people who run the Service. No system is perfectly secure — that is exactly why the welcome email tells you to change your starting password and then delete the email.
You can read your data any time (it's your mailbox), correct your contact email by writing to us, cancel whenever you like, and ask us to delete your data — email legal@shitsabouttogodown.com from the address on your account and we'll handle it. California residents: you have the right to know what we collect (this page is the list), to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA/CPRA. The Service is operated from the United States and your data is processed there.
The Service is for adults — you must be 18 to use it (see the Terms of Service), and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
If we change this policy, the new version goes up here with a new effective date; if a change meaningfully affects your rights, we'll email the address on your account before it takes effect.
Questions, requests, complaints: legal@shitsabouttogodown.com. A human reads it.
